Employ Florida Banner Center for Secondary Career Academies

Like the state’s other Banner Centers, the Employ Florida Banner Center for Secondary Career Academies depends on partnerships to develop curricula targeted to specific high-value state industries that help to diversify the state’s economy. What makes this particular Banner Center unique is that its programs are implemented at the secondary school level, offering guidance and support to school districts throughout the state wanting to start new career academies or overhaul existing programs. The Banner Center also serves as a resource for state policymakers.

The Banner Center, housed at The Florida State University Learning Systems Institute, works to ensure that education, industry, workforce and economic development partners in every community are working together to create new, meaningful opportunities to prepare students for high-skill, high-wage jobs.
